4ths tuning

Why don’t metal guitarists use 4ths tuning. Seems like it would simplify everything as far as learning the fingerboard. Seems like it is tailor made for metal especially.

5ths is pretty great for metal too. Any two finger bar chord is a power chord, wide voicings play well with distortion. There definitely should be more mandocellos in metal.
