Best place for donuts?
Looking for a good place to grab donuts occasionally for coworkers/friends etc. that’s not super expensive.
Doesn’t necessarily have to be donuts, breakfast pastries in general are good! Just want to be able to surprise people every once in a while.

Dutch Donut Factory on Power Rd and Brown Rd. I just read in Phoenix New Times they were one of the best donut places in Arizona. Don't know their prices.
But if you want inexpensive pastries, if you have a membership to Sam's or Costco, you could probably find a good selection at one of those places.

The only thing I don't like about this place is that they literally wait till 5:00 am on the dot to open even if they see people outside waiting.....not good customer service...I ended up going to Bosa

The Mesa H Mart has a vender that pastries, including donuts. I don't know if they're still there.
The donuts are shockingly good; they had a lemon creme-filled donut and a mocha creme-filled donut that is incredible.

Yes, Paris Baguette! They’re incredible. Try their custard bun it’s so delicious! Unfortunately I don’t think they open early enough for before work, but they’re a good go to for me on the weekend!

I second Paris Baguette but the HMart location opens a little later at 9am. Their standalone store (3450 W. Chandler Blvd) near the Chandler Fashion Center opens at 6am and have a wider selection. Unfortunately, it is one the higher end for cost if you're purchasing for coworkers.

Recently discovered King Donuts at Higley and Southern. Similar style to Bosa and Rainbow and that style donut but they seemed a step above. Less greasy. I’m trying to eat better but let’s just say that they’re not helping the situation! lol
Edit - forgot to mention that the Dutch Donut Factory on Power and Brown is very good as well.

King donuts is really good! Really decent prices, and last time I went late near closing and was given extras for free (not that I need it lol)

Came here to suggest King Donuts. Stopped again this morning. Good donuts. I also like the ham and cheese croissants.

Food city has a pretty big parking lot, not too many curbs or lightpoles. obviously go at night so there less traffic

Everyone is going to say Bosa Donuts and they're fine.
I prefer Hurts Donuts.

The pictures on their website show raised donuts, not cake donuts. I've never been so cannot confirm.

They are too over the top for me and had a horrible customer service experience.

Outcast Donut in Downtown Mesa!!!

Outcast is great but not cheap

u/HideNZeke 1d ago
Yeah honestly their one donut is not that much better than the average donut. You might as well get multiple Krispy Kremes or Bosa'a over 1 of Outcast's style over substance ones

Outcast is great! But not really a cheap grab and go place. I love the texture of theirs!

Donut Worry! Wayyy better than Bosa. To me, Bosa always has that slightly stiff bread. Donut Worry are always warm and fluffy

I wonder if Bosa quality is location dependent. The one by me always has super fresh, soft donuts. Definitely not stale at all.

I’m not sure, I’m one of the many recently new residents and tried Bosa off of a recommendation. They weren’t bad. Just the bread felt slightly stiff? Stopped by Donut worry one time cause it was easier than making a turn to where I was going. And I’ve been going back since. Their breakfast sandwiches are fuckin it!

It definitely is an they are franchised or whatever so they could be ran by different individual owners/family.

PSA, there's an app called "Too Good to Go" which aims to cut down on food waste. Tons of donut places are on there and you can get a pretty good surprise bag for cheap. Dutch Donut Factory was mentioned a couple times, and they have a surprise bag of a dozen donuts on there for $6.99. The only caveats are you have to pay attention to the pickup times (Dutch Donut has a pickup for today at around 6pm) and you don't get to choose the products, but otherwise you just walk in, show them your proof of payment, and get your surprise bag.

Absolutely devastating that Sojo’s donuts closed 🥹 a bit far from Mesa but the loval donut or chin up donuts is good.

Bosa is my favorite. I love their menu so much. I’ve had their boba smoothies to Vietnamese coffee. Their donuts never disappoint.
Tours Les Jours is pretty tasty and unique as well. It is a French Asian bakery inside Asiana market on Dobson and southern.

I’ve been disappointed by Bosa donuts since the 80s. If that’s all you’ve known, maybe they’re “okay”but maybe try some other places. You will never go back.
