River view park

Why at any given time are there 5 golf carts with government employees/ contractors who sit there and do nothing? Both photos taken within 30s of each other, just golf carts parked.

Why can’t we have 1, maybe 2 people doing this, instead of 5? It’s a waste of tax payers money. I’d rather spend that money to planting more trees in the park. Also genuine question, what is their job??

Edit- I walk here everyday. This is not a one time thing.

Hi, I walk this park every other day or so. These do not just sit there all day, they do lots of important work, hope that helps 👍. Sorry they bothered you so much.

"lots of important work" I guess is subjective, I was homeless for 8 months and would commonly stay in my car most of day at various parks around the valley, this being one. When you see what they do most days for 8 hours... it's laughable.

God forbid people take breaks in this heat. I see them working a ton.

Let me introduce you to something called "the government worker". You can find them all over the city. The DMV, the court house, parks, post office, or road construction crews. They are an unmotivated work force that lives off of unlimited tax dollars, rarely get fired and receive raises regardless of performance. You could probably cut all government staffing in half and not see any noticable change. Government jobs are typically just a work program for people that can't make it in the private sector.

This is common to see at Kiwanis park in Tempe as well. I've caught them just sleeping in their work trucks while on the job. It's very frustrating to see valuable tax money just wasted but thats our government for you unfortunately.
