Hello! I'm a courtroom sketch artist, but I'm not physically in the court room for Megan's defamation lawsuit. I did sketch this today to prep for a sketch of when she delivers testimony on the stand (tomorrow?).

This is awesome and I love the style of courtroom sketches. I’ve always been curious and you seem like a good source- what are the sketches used for?

Courtroom sketches can be commissioned by anyone (judges, attorneys, plaintiffs, defendants, media, etc), but are most commonly and historically retained by press/media in place of courtroom photography/videography. The role of courtroom sketch art in these cases is to serve in place of a camera for the public!
