If you are used to having 4 as what we call 10, then what to us is base 4 would be base 10 to them.

The list of bases for them would go Base 1 Base 2 Base 3 Base 10 Base 11 Base 12 ...

1, 2, 3, 10, 11, 12, 13, 20, 21, 22 matches up with

1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10

So yes! (I had to write it out to get my head round it)

In the game obduction there's some puzzles using base 4, and it took me awhile just to figure that out

Our base 10 is 0 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 then 10 and our base 4 is 0 1 2 3 then 10. Our base 10 is the way it is because we have 10 fingers but the alien only has 4 so if he had a "base 10" created with the same principle as ours, then his base 10 is equivalent to our base 4. At least that what I understood
