A beloved HoCo stop

Post image

Not sure if this place is still around on Route 99 but I have many fond memories of growing up in Ellicott City and stopping there in the summer or after school with friends.

I just checked on Google and yes, it's still open 7 days a week from 12:00-10:00.

Can confirm it's still there and just as popular as ever.

I grew up out in Ellicott City and this place was like a mystical summer treat for only the most special of days. Every once in awhile when doing county errands I take a detour just to go by and grab a snowball, tastes just like being a kid again.

Been living in the DC suburbs for over 10 years now. I miss snowball stands and pit beef.

Just drove by it last weekend. I wanted to stop but I was so full from my meal and was making good time getting home.

There's a childhood memory. Glad to hear they're still open. Is there still a corn field behind it or houses? I'll have to go next time I'm in Columbia for a funeral.
