Discussion SA report

We are trying to conceive for the last 10 months with no luck and this is my SA report. Is it possible to conceive with such parameters?

Volume 1.50 mL Slightly below this lab's stated range (2–4 mL)

Concentration 69.14 million/mL Excellent (above 15 million/mL)

Total sperm per ejaculate 103.71 million Excellent (above 39 million)

Total motility 62.87% Good (above 40%)

Progressive motility ~12.6% (0.13 + 12.47) Lower than ideal

Non-progressive motility 50.27% High

Immotile 37.13% Acceptable given total motility

Morphology (normal forms) 10%

For sure your numbers are good enough for natural conception, you have good count, nice motility and morphology. Hydrate yourself properly it helps your volume. Other than that it all looks good

My concern is rapid + slow progressive motility which is (0.5 +12) 12.5%... I have heard that it should be higher than 32%

Oh yes sorry didn't notice it while commenting, that is a concern.

It is still possible to conceive naturally with your numbers just the probability is lower.

Have you started taking the steps like, no hot showers, keeping your boys cool. Eating and taking anti oxident food and supplements.

Also what was your abstinence time?

I have started taking steps so as to improve my numbers. I just have to add anti oxident food and supplements to my diet.

My abstinence time was 3 days.

3 days is good. Check for varicocele and diet plays major role but natural conception should be around the corner. Best wishes.

I had a visit with my wife to her gynaecologist. The gynaecologist said that my report was terrible and I needed to see a urologist asap.

Your sperm concentration, total count, total motility, and morphology are all strong, with the main issue being lower-than-ideal progressive motility, meaning fewer sperm are moving forward efficiently. Overall, this is very positive. It cant hurt to upgrade your lifestyle to maximize stress but I think having your partner get evaluated is critical. Make the normal changes- quit smoking, quit drinking, eat health, exercise etc. You are looking better than most

With these results the problem isn’t with you. I’d get your wife to get tested asap
