TRT-Adjacent I need help.

41M have used Trt from 8yrs on and off. Stoped in December in hopes to improve my counts to start trying for a baby with my partner 28M
This is my first time trying for a child and I would really love any help or stories of guys my age having recovered fully and timelines if you guys can.

First SA WAS JAN 2026
Went to urologist in March LH FSH AND test was all in range I had 522 test

Got put on Clomid and hcg since April and swim club vitamins.

You should be fine with Hcg and clomid. What are your doses for both? Seeing as how it’s been about two months you should start seeing progress by next month. May test is a given, seeing as how you were only on the protocol for a month. If all else fails, you may or may not need to introduce HMG

I feel like there’s been pretty good improvement. I went from zero sperm to 3.8 in two months currently Doctor has me on 500iu hcg and 50 mg of clomid every other day. I do feel like my dosage for HCG. It’s very low compared to what I’ve read before suggesting around 1000 Ius What do you think I should do or change before my next SA?

500iu eod is on the low end. But it could be because he’s trying to gauge your labs. But anywhere from 1000-3000 3x per week is the standard for restarting fertility.

Everyone’s case is different, and those who have made dramatic changes, have been on a more aggressive protocol. Some guys can’t handle clomid either, so props to you. Seeing as how your FSH and LH are in range, could just be that you need more time and a higher dose of HCG

I started at 500iu 3x for two weeks then I started to increase to 1000 - 2000 - and now 3000. Also taking 75iu of hmg 3x per week. Getting my lab SA end of the month to see where my levels are at. At the start was 0 sperm. 2 months in im at 7 mil, but motility/morphology are still <1%. Mind you the tests were the YO home tests.

Where do you get your hmg from? I will get lab work done soon to see. I will start doing 1000iu starting next week then i appreciate you taking the time to help me
