Discussion Excess cells/bacteria
Hello,
Can anyone advise on excess cells and bacteria found in semen analysis?
Recovering from varicocele embolisation, all parameters have massively increased since pre embolisation. However, my semen analyses have reported the following:
- Pre embolisation - excess cells and bacteria seen
- 3 months post - excess cells seen. Semen culture found “no obvious bacteria”
- 5 months post - excess cells and bacteria seen
- 7 months post - they randomly didn’t report for it
Wife has had microbiome tests and all came back clear.
I’m confused as semen culture test came back with no obvious bacteria.
Is persistent round cells/bacteria normal 7 months post varicocele embolisation? I don’t to miss any underlying infection/inflammation that could be damaging our chances.
I already eat well, avoid heat, ejaculate regularly, take supplements (ubiquinol, NAC etc) Mediterranean diet and good exercise regime.
Any advice or pointers much appreciated
