This Day in Kings’ History (1993): Kings win their first Campbell Conference championship and advance to the Stanley Cup Final
On May 29, 1993, Wayne Gretzky led the Kings to their first Campbell Conference championship, and their first trip to the Stanley Cup Final. Gretzky scored his first playoff hat trick with the Kings in a 5-4 win in Game 7 versus the Toronto Maple Leafs.

Toronto is still not over that series and the missed high stick call on Gretzky. Thanks a lot, Karry Frazier!

I’m not over Don Cherry saying that Tomas Sandstrom deserved to have his arm broken.

Yeah.... I might get downvoted for saying this, but I don't miss that guy at all!

I'll say it: Fuck Don Cherry. That guy is hugely responsible for keeping hockey culture toxic during his tenure as a talking head. He was so often flat out wrong with his takes as well. Remember when he said Jonathan Bernier was an NHL-ready goalie just from his performance in juniors? LMAO

As a Kings fan in Toronto, I’ve never heard the end of it re: the Gretzky Game 6 high stick. I mean, the Leafs had Game 7… at home… and still couldn’t get it done.

I still hate Montreal. I hope they lose tonight.
This series vs Toronto made me a fan of Felix Potvin. Imagine my joy when we acquired an older version of Felix the Cat and he led us to victory over an absolute wagon of a Redwings squad.
