This Day in Kings’ History (2012): Dustin Penner eliminates Phoenix in OT, which sends the Kings to the Stanley Cup Final

On May 22, 2012, the Kings advanced to the Stanley Cup Final for the second time in franchise history. Dustin Penner scored the series clinching goal in a 4-3 overtime win in Game 5 of the Western Conference Final against the Phoenix Coyotes.

Phoenix (err, Utah?) fans to this day still love to parrot Shane Doan's bullshit claim that Dustin Brown "exploded" Rozsival's knee despite him being diagnosed with a simple thigh bruise after the game. Will never not be hilarious to me.

Ah.. the day I tweaked my ankle after running out the front door and jumped off the front steps in flip flops after the OT winner. Nothing better than a OT series clinching goal.
