Where to purchase Electronics in Limerick/Ireland?

I lived most of my life in India and a couple of years in the USA where big electronic shops are frequent and everywhere. Is that the same in Limerick? I’d like to purchase a good gaming monitor which can also be used for study (as a secondary screen for laptop). should I rather be using Amazon or some other e-commerce websites?

New tech startup in Limerick looking for early users to build momentum.

Hi all,

I am from Limerick born and bred and I have recently decided to start my own venture and take the risk of going self employed.

I have developed an app that allows service seekers to connect easily with Service providers.

Its a chicken and egg situation at present as its early launch and I need Seekers before providers come on and I need providers before Seekers come on.

Please have a look at let me know what you think.

Profile creation is free and there is also a marketplace that you can use for free to sell what ever you want (within the law of course)

I need the people of Limerick to help me out here it takes less than 5 mins and this platform will take off and when it does you will all see the value of it.

Its available on google play store for android users https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.base6980c097b07df91b3ecbecaf.app

Or Apple/IOS use www.servicesoar.com as its pending apple approval.

Thank you all and Luimneach Abú.

Film Club

Hi everyone, I just returned to Limerick after a few years away. I'm a bit of a film buff and was wondering if there are film clubs or places I could go to watch the newest films, whether arthouse or otherwise. Thanks a lot!

I hope no cllr objects to this. Soc dems and Fine Gael have a history in the city. The developer is Butler. Cllr Daniel Butlers cousin so maybe not.

Driving/Train to Limerick

Upvotes

I have recently just started a job in Limerick which requires me to go into the office 3 times a week.

I’m from North Cork and I have two options - about a 45 - 50 minute drive in the morning and back in the evening or the train.

I drove the other morning at around 7:15 and the n20 was fine but when I drove back at like 5:15 in the evening, it was mayhem - I was stuck behind a tractor for ages and I am not one to overtake cars on a busy road (I value my life) and the cars behind me were up hole which kinda stressed me out. I wonder if I maybe joined a gym by my office and drove back at like 7:00 would it be fine - I don’t want the roads being crazy but I also don’t want the roads being too quiet either cause that’s where reckless driving occurs. I like being behind a few cars especially on a road like the n20.

I am also looking into to taking the train aswell and I’m wondering would Colbert Station be alright in terms of safety in the morning at around 8am and in the evening at like 5:30 to 6:00pm. I also have like a 10 minute wait in Limerick junction which is fine but some details on that train station would be brilliant aswell.

I’d also be willing to stay up like two nights in Limerick while going to the office - Would anyone know any websites or community pages available that has people offering rooms for a few days during the week on a long term basis - I know that there is people who offer this type of system in Cork not too sure in Limerick though.
