Affordable prescription flea treatment?
Hi fellow Lex friends! I have three pets that are in dire need of oral prescription flea medication. Does the humane society or Woodstock offer a low cost option for treatment? I saw options for vaccination clinics on their websites, but didn't see any mention of flea treatment. I know I could simply call, but I'm so embarrassed. This entire ordeal, with everything else, has my stress level at max capacity if you can't tell. 😅
I've tried every safe at home remedy and have started the process of treating my home/yard with food grade diatomaceous earth. I'm shampooing rugs, furniture, washing everything I can, etc. I've bathed them, bought collars, and have tried topical treatments.
I'm in a temporary financial bind and have taken the appropriate steps to improve my situation. I promise this isn't a matter of being an irresponsible pet owner, even though I feel like I am at current. I'm just not in a position to take on a standard vet bill, nor can I apply for care credit at the moment. That said, my pets are miserable and I'm at a complete loss. Any recommendations or suggestions are greatly appreciated.
Sorry for the novel over fleas. Again, stress and embarrassment. 🫠

What places in Lexington can install dash cams for you?
Just need someone to tuck my dash cam cable. I don't have the means or tools to do it myself. Any suggestions for a local business? I really appreciate any suggestions.

Recommendations for a primary care doctor
I’ve been going to UK midwife clinic for several years, since I found out I was pregnant with my first. Kept them on as “primary care” after giving birth to my second. But I keep running into issues with my treatment that they cannot handle or prescribe and they recommend I see a primary care doctor.
Any recommendations? I’d prefer to stay with UK, as Baptist was pretty terrible when I went 10+ years ago. Thanks.

Unexpectedly going to a wedding in 5 days, need suit recs.
Hi all. I’m (apparently) going to a wedding this Friday and need to find a suit as soon as humanly possible. Ordering online isn’t an option at this point. I’ve never purchased a suit outside of renting one for prom nearly a decade ago.
I’d love to not spend a massive fortune, but more importantly I need a suit that looks decent. I’m a stockier guy, slim fit OTR doesn’t usually work well. Thanks in advance for any advice, I’m pretty lost here!
*(Will drive to Cinci, Louisville, etc. if need be)

Anyone in here drive for DoorDash?
I’ve been dashing in Lexington since around February and I just found out Lexington considers gig workers as small business owners and requires you to apply for a business license. Just trying to see if anyone else does it without the license.

Best brake service
Im in need of rear rotors and pads. Where is the best place in town to go? I've only been to 'ExhaustPro' and they quoted almost $500. Is this reasonable or should I try elsewhere? Thx.

Are there any vets/animal clinics that can do short notice rabies vaccines?
I have a 10 year old mix cat who got her initial shot and booster but has been an exclusively indoor cat since I have had her but the rental property I'm looking at requires up to date rabies vaccines. Those record are long since lost and I am in need of a quick turn around and Google has been largely unhelpful.
EDIT: Thanks for all the leads! You all are great.

Euclid Kroger Parking Lot Shitshow
Ok, so I see a lot of shitty driving and a lot of shitty driving posts and I don’t pay much attention to either but the Euclid Kroger parking lot is another level. I saw the following within about 20-30 seconds.
Guy #1, black Dodge truck: lays on his horn at someone pushing a cart of groceries for, I guess, not jumping out of his way?
Guy #2, pedestrian from scenario #1: started off as a victim, turns out he is just another entitled asshole. Apparently, he is so important that he doesn’t need a parking spot, just leave your car wherever is convenient. I his case, it was the Marquis entrance area near the ramp to the rooftop lot. Tosses the receipt out the window as he is pulling away just to erase any doubts.
Guy #3, white Tesla: as guy #2 is pulling off, I hear a loud bang/thud and see a white Tesla flying down the ramp at a high rate of speed (seriously looked like 25-30 mph), nearly blasting our litterbug in the process.
Seriously, how are there not 10 deaths per day in Lexington with these people having access to these dangerous weapons?

Road trip outskirts of Lexington
Possible future relocation to the area. Driving from the East Coast, what areas should I be checking out as a renter (like new construction, studio) in the country, close to everything.
Also what are the best farmers markets for showing off your business as a vendor
Thank you in advance

Was planning a dinner get together with friends for my husband but the owner of the venue had a terrible emergency. I'm panicking. People are showing up this weekend...four families... How can I make this work?!

Distractions
Rant: if you can’t focus on driving and are too distracted by panhandler road signs for other drivers please think about others before you get back on the road. About got taken out because someone swerved between 2 lanes not knowing where they were going or just eye balling the guy panhandling on nick rd. He’s been there before and you can look at him tomorrow, drive better so we all can we each other tomorrow as well.
Drive safer
