Mako. I feel like people dog on him a lot while propping up Bolin as if he doesn’t have his own issues. They both had a lot more potential as characters that the series unfortunately did not explore, but I’ve always been more fond of Mako.

Mako, he's one of the few guys who actually takes shit seriously in the series and is often misunderstood and overhated and some ppl go to the point he screwed up the love triangle when he was just a teenager like the others with the twist of him also having a rly screwed up childhood and having surpressed emotions, I do relate to him also besides Korra, but that doesn't mean I don't like Bolin, he's fun also :)

I feel nothing at all towards Mako. Bolin was slightly entertaining at times so I prefer him. But both brothers are far from my favorite characters.

While I do love Bolin, I will absolutely defend Mako all day every day. He definitely made some less than optimal choices during the love triangle but he is definitely gets more shit than he deserves. Some of the stuff he gets shit for are either because he actually he has realistic reactions to most things even if they aren't the best actions, or stuff he was right about but the fandom disagrees with. he has so many good moments throughout the show. Dude straight up blew up a giant robot.

I don’t hate Bolin, but I do not like him. His childish attitude doesn’t do it for me. He also has that trumpet musical motif that comes up everytime he does sth heroic, and I find that thing annoying.

Mako. Hes actually really enjoyable when hes not apart of tbe love triangle lol (I think the same of Korra and Asami). I really loved him in season 4 protecting Wu.

overall i like Bolin more
they were both good in season 1, and both were insufferable in season 2
in season 3 and 4 i liked Bolin more, because he was present and mattered, while Mako's character was mostly a running gag because of his dating history

I dont dislike him, I actually dislike Mako more, but not hate, simply because of his attitude and how he treated Korra and Asami, my issues with Bolin come from how naive and childish he is, in the first season thinking he could raise money by having Pabu do tricks instead of looking for a proper job like Mako did, trusting a 'job offer from a triad, even falling in with Kuvira. For someone who grew up on the streets and was very loosely part of the triads as a child, he is WAY too naive and childish, doesn't matter how much Mako tried to protect him as he was growing up. Other than I have no issues with Bolin and still like him better than his brother.
