Because our army is multi cultural/sectarian.

It's sad that the pope and people talk about how diversity is a good thing it isn't.

He even uses lebanon as an example when it should be an example of how things fail

Countries can have multiple groups and can still work. What doesn’t work is when a particular group does not want to work within the agreed upon system of government and creates its own quasi army, banking and social services, etc that completely undermines the host country entirely.

Diversity is not an actual issue in western countries because even competing parties still work within the system. They don’t build fucking militias with foreign backing to do whatever the fuck they want.

With that said, this group cannot be reasoned with, and at this point it’s for the best to “file for divorce” if they do not want to be Lebanese.
