Why do most people think More BMS(Book My show) sales = More collections?

Saw a lot of X posts saying that More BMS ticket sales would definitely mean More collections as well.

But this hypothesis is completely wrong.

They forget to add Walk-ins and offline bookings into their consideration I guess.

For instance:

1)BB 2 only made 16M BMS sales,but KGF 2 made more than 1M sales higher than BB 2,yet KGF 2 falls behind BB 2 collections by 600 crs.

2)Hanuman and Devara also made similar BMS sales,Devara only led by a few thousands,but Hanuman made 120-150 crs less than Devara.

People should high-key stop these comparisons using BMS sales

Then what else should we use to compare? The bogus box office claims from producers?

Take trackers number and then compare with producer numbers, if it matches approximately with 5-10 +/- , then it can be genuine, Ex: Leo day 1, multiple trackers showed Leo's day 1 around 142-146 crs, producer figure was 148 crs, so we can deduct that it is genuine.

Honestly there are no other indicators. Its the only legit way. Iftge producer doesn’t reveal it there’s no way of knowing or somehow, the actors sangham can do a committe to reveal it?

We have famous BO trackers like Sacnilk, t2blive, BOS,Insplag,etc.. we can compare their data with producer's figure and find if it's genuine or not.
