I have been offered a trade on 2 10 year old Sparks with a trailer. About 75 hours fresh water usage on each. At what price would this set up sell for quickly?

What do I need to check for on the Sparks to make sure they are in good condition?

I’ve only ever had zieman trailers and I cannot find the vin on this shorelandr. Where should it be and is it a tag or stamped directly

A few months ago, I made a post on here about my Bluetooth speakers, not connecting on my 2023 Yamaha vx cruiser HO I ended up taking it to be serviced and they said it was the Bluetooth module, which is the little control panel for the speakers still have not gotten back from service yet so I can’t confirm for sure that it is the fix but definitely something to look into if anybody else has an issue with there phone not connecting to Bluetooth speaker speakers in your jet ski

It’s a 2014 waverunner vx cruiser with the MR-1 engine. I forgot to do the oil filter but put in fresh oil. And I skipped last season changing the filter so I know I really need to… Only about 15 hours per season on a lake. 2 questions, if I unscrew the oil filter will all the oil begin to rush out? And how bad would it be if I just waited till the end of the season to do it?

Before, the black paint from factory was scraping off and I saw some areas were corroding. I thought a dark blue would be a nice color to change it too. There are many imperfections, but I’m happy with the outcome.

I am having some weird electrical issues with a stock 1988 JS550 where every time it’s gone out in the water on the way back we kill it and it just loses spark, it runs great other than that. Everything except the CDI has been replaced in the E-box and plugs/wires have been done as well. The kill switch has also been added and tested to see if it was just the switch causing issues. We cannot figure out what’s wrong with the loss of spark issue and we’re running out of fixes and answers and need more insight on what has been going on. It should also be mentioned that we also tried different plugs to see if it was bad plugs too.

Got a 2000 Yamaha WaveRunner XL1200. It starts and idles good now and doesn’t bog nearly as bad as before, but it still has a big power issue. Right now it only tops out around 34 mph, when before it used to run high 50s to low 60s.

Sometimes if I hit the throttle really fast it’ll bog down and die, but if I ease into it, it’ll usually go. I also had the exhaust warning light come on before, and the cooling pisser flow sometimes seems weak. Ski sat for years before I got it running again.

Already checked basic stuff like plugs and battery.

this is my uncle‘s jet ski that has been sitting for a long time and he might be giving it to me for free so I just wanted to know what it was. I know it’s a Kawasaki.

what would be your basic do's and dont's when owning a jet ski ?

Doesn’t push any water out the pisser at idol and when giving it gas the water comes out scolding hot. I replaced the lines. What could be the problem? Thanks!

Hey everyone! Pretty new to two-stroke jet skis, I am trying to see how to tune it as I think it’s running a little rich. I sent the low speed needle 1 1/2 turns out

It ran but it seemed to eventually flood the engine a little bit, ran well at high speed and seemed a little “burbuly” at low speed

When I turned the low speed needle all the way in it will still idle is that normal?

Also, I have a diehard TX14AH battery with 210 cold cranking amps, do I need to upgrade to something a bit more powerful?

I finally got my 1995 WaveRaider 700 in the water yesterday and had to go slow for about an hour burning through some old gas in the bottom of the tank from the previous owner (I put in new gas but didn’t have a way to drain the tank). After it was burned off, the Ski stopped bogging down and was running great. It died multiple times and would start right back up no problem, until I was getting it back on the trailer.

When I went to trailer it, I pulled into the dock and it was running great, then I turned it off to tie to the dock and get the truck. Came back once the trailer was in the water and tried to turn on the Raider again and it only clicked once and then nothing. It refused to even turn over. So I walked it on the trailer and took it home. Now it wont crank even with a jumper box hooked to the battery, just one faint click.

Anyone dealt with this or have any idea where I should start? The fact that it was running great and then was just completely dead is throwing me off

Co worker wants to sell it to me with a trailer. Looks mint 170 hours freshwater. What’s fair price to offer him? I was thinking 3k but not sure if that’s a lowball or not

Picked up a 95 WVT700 and 96 WaveRaider 1100 that sat a long time. The 1100 had a blown middle piston. I rebuilt the top end, rebuilt carbs, replaced fuel pump diaphragms, checked spark, etc.

Current symptoms:
* VERY hard first start after sitting. Drains almost the whole battery before finally firing.
* Once started, it restarts immediately every time.
* Occasionally coughs/sneezes at idle and loses RPM briefly. Sometimes visible exhaust/vapor in engine bay when this happens.
* At WOT it usually runs great, then randomly just instantly dies like ignition was cut. No gradual bog. Starts immediately afterward and runs fine again.
* Compression: 103 / 110 / 107
* Spark looks good on all cylinders.
* Starter fluid instantly wakes it up.

Only original stuff left is:
* fuel selector/petcock
* some older fuel lines that visually looked newer so I didn’t replace initially.

I’m leaning:
* air leak / fuel drain-back / intermittent fuel starvation
* possible reed issue because of intake sneezing/blowback

But the “starts immediately after first startup” part is throwing me off. Curious if anyone has seen this exact symptom set on Yamaha triples. After the sneeze exhaust does seemingly seep up from out of the engine bay somewhere but only after sneeze.

Jetski runs great for about 30mins - 1hr but then starts to bog down and up and keeps doing that and steadily losing power till it’ll barely move then if I cut it off and let it sit for a bit it’ll run great for about 5 minutes then starting bogging up and down again

I can’t find this style of fuse anywhere? Has this style been replaced?

Most of us have been there, you are trying to grab a piece of wood that has lodged up inside your intake grate. Maybe you rolled your ski over on the side of a shore, maybe you had to put it all the way back onto your trailer.

Yesterday my 2015 Yamaha Waverunner sucked up a piece. Had to limp it home in No Wake mode for an hour. I'm glad I did not jump into the 60 degree water because it would have been futile trying to dislodge the tiny stick.

I put the ski onto my boat lift, go under the thing with my paddle board, and tried to grab at the twig with a pair of long channel locks. It was F-ing awkward and would not do the job.

I have one of those little plunger-style claw tools that's made for grabbing at a small tool that you drop into the engine bay of a car when working on it. It doesn't quite have the grabbing power necessary to get at a lodged piece of wood inside the ski.

Does anybody have the "goldilocks" size tool that will fit through the vent, and have the grabbing power to fish a piece of wood out?

I can’t tell if it’s stage 1+ or stage 2… owner said stage 1+ but has some stage 2 components as well. Whatever it is. This thing flies.

Seeing if anyone can help, it’s got a new fuel pump and new fuel and air pressure regulators. It idles fine, I can ease into the throttle and go full throttle but the second I give it full throttle off idle it cuts and dies.

I posted a few months ago about it overheating while winterizing snd got great advice. So a couple of days ago I changed the oil and everything, flushed it and the code went away almost immediately while running with the water on. Yesterday was first time in the water and it came back on after about 20 minutes. I was only doing around 30 mph as I was taking someone across the lake that didn’t want to go fast. We get to the boat, I shut it off and talked for a moment. When I left I was going slow, no wake zone, and after a minute the alarm came back. I shiut it off, had a smoke and a beverage for about 5 minutes or so, started it up and it went away after maybe 10 seconds.

For the next 30-45 minutes ran great no problems full throttle, half speed, etc... I pulled up to a dock for something for a couple of minutes and the the overheat came back but this time it wouldn’t go away. Tried sitting for a while to cool off and didn’t help. Pulled it out of the water yesterday, disconnected the battery (i read somewhere to try that) overnight. Before I reconnect it and put it back in the water is there anything else I should look for? Any tips or suggestions? Thanks in advance
