Discussion Wedding

I am going to a wedding this summer. My nephew, I like him and his future wife. Sweet people.

My problem is I am an introvert. 😁

I am old and I have a hard time hearing in crowded, loud situations. Which makes it even worse. I am trying to figure out how to get through this. Last wedding I went to was torture.

just remember the wedding is NOT ABOUT YOU. Its all about celebrating the bride & groom's matrimony. So dont worry too much about being judged.

since its a family member, you'll know people there & you can catch up with other family.

Enjoy the reception, food and leave early if you want.

also, don't drink too much. Some guests cant handle liquor

I’m not worried about being judged. I worry about being uncomfortable the whole time I am there.

idk what "uncomfortable" means to you

If you dont like talking to people, don't. just hang in the back, clap, etc.

you can also leave early. Nobody would know or even care.

but if logistics are a problem, (wedding is hard to get to, no transportation, cant afford it, etc) just dont go. They will understand.

I compromise all the time. We have been married for 40 years.
