Gear Gear Help

Very new to this hammock thing. Need the ultimate hammock setup for camping on a Michigan lake cove in July. No mosquitos allowed and need to be covered in case of rain. Not sure if there will be trees. Also a side sleeper if it helps. Main thing is I just want to be comfortable sleep at night and be able to transition into lazy during the day.

Any help would be much appreciated. Even Ai is all over the place. Some recommend a warbonnet and another suggested a haven?

I usually bring a second ‘regular’ hammock for being lazy, wherever Ifeel like being lazy without disrupting my bedroom-hammock

Dang this is getting expensive. You are probably right but at this rate I think I better find out if they are for me.

The least expensive is to ask yer friends to borrow theirs.  A chill-out hammock is a pretty common part of a camping kit. It’s is a great compliment to a ground tent if you don’t know of there will be trees. I like sleeping in a (Hennessy!) hammock, but I’d rather sleep in a tent than in my hammock on the ground

I am sure there are pros and cons to both but when it’s all said and done would you rather sleep in a tent or hammock?

I would rather sleep in my hammock tent, I have much better sleeps…it’s great in the rain, and I like hanging out in the shade.

I also bring a small tent if I’m going somewhere I haven’t been, or if I know there aren’t good trees.

And then if I’m going somewhere beachy, I’ll also bring a lounge hammock so I have a sunny spot near where the people are
