You'd still need the lower parts, but it looks like a solid upper kit if you wanted to get a full size kit from Sarco and have a short slide to switch out. (Or if you got a 1911 lower parts kit and needed a slide.)

If you have a Tisas GI 1911, this slide can be a good option to upgrade your pistol without having to mill the original slide for Novak sights. It also essentially converts your 1911 to the same slide length as a Tisas Carry model.
