She’s gorgeous, I loved Lexie. I know many people say the show went downhill after Cristina and Derek left, but for me (unpopular opinion) it started declining after Lexie’s death.

Yeah at that point noone was safe. Almost all the core characters had been killed or nearly dead and it all just became sort of silly.

Now they go very strongly the other way, and don't want to kill anyone off, which again, IMO, can get a little monotonous..

I’ll always have a soft spot for Lexie too, she brought a different energy to the show that was hard to replace.

Agreed. I'm just finished a rewatch of season 10, and OMG Cristina and Owen's relationship back and forth is absolutely mind numbingly awful. They have so many "we want different things and shouldn't be together" realizations only to be right back in each other's beds. And not in a way that's a fun character flaw story. It's still a good show, just not as solid as before. Cristina's exit though is perfection.

I didn’t like the vibe. George and Izzie had just left, so the dynamic was already off. Then, Lexie started sleeping with Izzie’s husband. She started buddying up to Meredith and Cristina. Suddenly, she popped up looking like an Izzie clone. Lexie didn’t even feel like Lexie anymore. It felt like someone single white female-ing Izzie.

Lexie’s character had always felt like they were going for girl-next-door more than bombshell. So, it seemed like they were awkwardly trying to replace Izzie- slotting Lexie into her friendships, her husband’s bed, her whole look and energy- with a character that had already been established as someone different than Izzie.

The blonde always looked so luscious and full of volume, I like the darker hair too but whoever was doing her blonde hair was on point.

Yes I’m rewatching and got to blonde Lexie and at first it’s jarring but her hair looks so healthy and long and it’s styled so well that I love it
