Why fusion, over everything else?

$15.2 billion in private investment over the past 5 years!

For an industry that is projected to need 1 million workers by 2040, how is the global private workforce roughly ONLY 4,000?!

Fusion's advantages:

  • Minimal land use, which matters more if your energy usage goes up a lot

  • No need for storage, works around the clock

  • Works just as well on cloudy days at high latitudes in winter as it does in Nevada summer.

So solar disadvantages are based on its inherent physics, while fusion's are based on the state of technology today.

Ha!

I'll just add that, although fusion is unproven, every other form of power generation we use today also was at some point unproven.
