Watch tower at Dania Beach

I grew up here going to Dania Beach a-lot as a kid and was wondering what ever happened to World War 2 era watch tower right where the bridge is over the intercostal.

I found one in a 1958 aerial at the end of Dania Beach Blvd.

I'm taking a look at later aerials to see when it disappeared.

EDIT: It's in 2006's aerial but it's gone in 2008's aerial (construction can be seen in the offramp roundabout in 2008).

EDIT2: This might not be the one; it doesn't look WWII-ish in the 2008 Google Streets.
