Recommendations for back/spinal doctor and/or rheumatologist?
...preferably near Lauderdale-by-the-Sea...
My elderly mother is going through it and we're feeling overwhelmed trying to find good care. Recommendations are appreciated.
She lives in the Lauderdale-by-the-Sea area and finds car rides over 15 minutes or so to be quite painful. I know that reduces our area of search. I'd love to know about octors located outside this small area as well, but local practices are preferred.
Thanks a lot!

Personal experience,WITH Holy Cross, Dr Ricardo Matos. Performed my back surgery and I had an excellent outcome. Whoever purchased the hospital is irrelevant to the physician/surgeon. Unfortunately his office is in Lighthouse Point, maybe 20 mins from LBTS, on US 1.

I don’t know anyone specifically but if these were by boxes to check I would look at Broward Health Systems. You most likely will go to the downtown campus for surgery but all else can be managed at Imperial Point. Absolutely Do Not Go to Holy Cross. Unfortunately that hospital was purchased away from Catholic Hospital ownership, bought by Trinity Healthcare System and I had an awful experience in that hospital. Best wishes! Google Broward Health and look at reviews.
