Ground turkey turned grayish after cooking in cast iron pan.
Bought 2 days ago, put in fridge immediately.
Cooked today, let it sit after cooking for 3 hours in an oven (no heat). I know you're not supposed to but I do that all the time.
Came back to reheat it and it turned greyish.
Does anyone know what that color is from?
The reddish/orange color is from seasoning.

Perishable food should not be in the danger zone(40f to 140f) more than 2 hours if cooking or saving for later (1 hour above 90f) or 4 hours if consuming and tossing. Source
