weird spot on tuna can lid

anyone know what this could be?? is it mold? can i eat the tuna or should i toss? expiration is hard to read—it either says 1/26 or 10/26

The way it's shaped is kinda freaking me out, kinda looks like some kind of growth... but the image is slightly fuzzy so I can quite see the texture so well

agreed!! it was gelatinous in texture
