Advice Fears of second time flight
hello to whoever this reaches, after looking around for some tips on ways to get over my fear of flying- I decided asking for some additional would help reinforce any positive tips i’ve picked up. I’ve got a one stop flight from portland to nyc coming up soon and have an irrational fear of flying, the main things that i’m fearful of are the takeoff as well as sharp adjustments after take off. I’m not afraid of mechanical sounds like the engines making less noise or landing gear being put away, it’s pretty much only the adjustments as it reminds of rollercoasters. If there’s any tips that can be spared of it, it would be much appreciated.
Best regards!!

I’m not a pilot just a nervous flyer that flys everywhere so I’m sure some professionals will enter the thread.
However, all I’ll say is the flight is going to land in your destination whether you’re on it or not so might as well be on it and nothing will happen whether you are nervous or not, so might as well not be nervous :)
Maybe it’s silly, but those have helped me and I do longgggg flights all the time now
