Brian here, the old name for r/hydrohomies was r/watern1ggas.

Just replace the 1 with the letter after h. This was easily 7+ years ago. It was basically the same meme sub about staying hydrated.

Drink water.

I was a member of that sub and I genuinely don't think so. I can't find any evidence of the hard R anywhere.

And I don't think, even as a joke, Reddit would have allowed that word to be a part of any sub. And it was pretty popular before the quarantine/crack down.

It looks like there were at least three different subs

A in both singular and plural, hard r in the plural

Found it here

They're listed under "banned for having a racial slur in its name"

That's wild. But I get the feeling that one of those was the original and the others spawned out of either hate or before shifting to hydro homies.
