Brian here, the old name for r/hydrohomies was r/watern1ggas.

Just replace the 1 with the letter after h. This was easily 7+ years ago. It was basically the same meme sub about staying hydrated.

Drink water.

Yes, sub was banned during the big Reddit clean up where they banned every sub that add words like that.

Sub was not breaking any rule, expect the sub name contain "improper" words

I got an account warning for trying to make the letter N bold in a word for emphasis (which is done by putting ** in front and behind it) 🤦🏻

Maybe they fixed if after granting my appeal, but that would have been rather quick

🤷🏻‍♂️ ı just did it and it worked.

I hate all these secret styling stuff. Why don't they add a proper interface for all of it? A forum i used to use had that 15 years ago.

look up Markdown, it is the most commonly accepted syntax for formatting text in the software dev/tech realm

Markdown is what reddit uses for the secret styling stuff
