Discussion Israel killed 15 paramedics, then tried to burry them and their ambulances in a mass grave to hide the evidence

The absolute disregard for the sanctity of medical personnel and ambulances in this conflict is completely gut-wrenching for anyone working in the field.

They are trying to murder an entire culture of people. This is systematic.

They are not trying in my opinion. They are very successfully doing it.

I mean thats certainly not validated by data, population studies, birth rates etc. Criticize all you want but lets be honest about our criticism

Quick! Let’s get the US to deprive their own citizens of healthcare and education so Israel can have US tax dollars pay for theirs! A country where Americans would be spat on and assaulted for not being the correct religion! No WORRIES sir!
Double tap, triple tap, who gives a shit!? 😜
Send send send 💸💸💸
US citizen run over by a bulldozer!? Let’s have pancakes! And let’s SEND more cash!
Intellectually disabled man is murdered by a soldier whilst walking to a care facility with a carer!? That’s bad right? NOPE fuck that let’s acquit and forget!
But most importantly, let’s vocally support Israel above our own interests publicly to the death.
And more important beyond that.. send send SEND 🤑🤑🤑

I don’t understand how everyone around the world can’t just agree that Israel is really fucked up. I hate that so much of our tax dollars supports their genocidal behavior.

israel has just released their budget and have allocated 730 million USD for "public diplomacy" (hasbara in hebrew) basically trying to shape public opinion using pro israel talking points. using PR companies to ban and suppress social media critical of Israel. I got banned on worldnews a couple days ago, for commenting in a thread full of astroturfing and 1 month accounts making the same old pro-israel propaganda talking points. There were hundreds of deleted comments at the bottom. social media is just another battleground these days... good to see r/emergencymedicine seems to be on the right track though!

u/the_silent_redditor 1d ago
Being banned on that sub is just a rite of passage and a badge to wear if you’ve been here long enough.
Absolute cesspool of a place.

Is this the same incident from over a year ago, or did something similar happen again? Or is the video released new? Just curious
14
u/sebila Paramedic 1d ago
there's some more recent footage from southern lebanon showing a double tap clearly targeting rescue responders. video is taken on cell phone from across the street... went viral about 2 weeks ago. and a few weeks before that there was another episode, IIRC it was a triple tap, not lebanon though, I cant remember exactly where it was. videos shouldn't be hard to find.

Israel, Russia, and the United States have been committing documented war crimes and nobody is doing anything about it. So this will continue because there’s nobody stopping them.

u/Treewalker21 1d ago
Close to 100K Palestinians killed since Oct 2023. This number is so fucking depressing. Whole world watches using mental gymnastics to justify pedicide. The amount of control over who can say what and where in regards to this genocide has gone far beyond 1984.

u/viniciusjr78 1d ago
The most satanic strategy to create a fear amongst the medics to stop coming for rescue.

Lol they literally told the un where the bodies were.. They didn't try to hide anything
But yes the senior officer at the scene lied and claimed they didn't have their sirens on. He was then kicked out of the military (personally i think he should have been sent to prison)
These are the facts of the matter.. Once again Israel does bad things there is no need to lie about them and make things up.. Makes yall look silly I'm just saying..
source from routers
"The United Nations confirmed last week that it had been informed of the location of the bodies but that access to the area was denied by Israel for several days. It said the bodies had been buried alongside their crushed vehicles - clearly marked ambulances, a fire truck and a U.N. car."
Now are you guys going to upvote me comment? That's what i thought lol..

You know to normal people, burying people and their vehicles in mass graves after massacring them counts as a cover up, but I suspect ghouls like yourself don't count as normal people.

u/goodknightffs 13h ago
Dude the literal UN confirmed what I'm saying.. Just read the article from routers and stop responding with emotions
1
u/goodknightffs 13h ago
Btw if you read the article it will explain everything..
And again I'm not defending Israel in just pointing out that they never hid the bodies.. But sure dv me for pointing it the truth let's see how far that will get us as a society

I'd say the upvotes on the post and the downvotes on your comment would disagree with you.

OP is not EM and has their profile blocked. Its part of a systemic effort to sway reddit and public opinion against israel. Its intentional and has infiltrated many subs. Why do they same 4 accounts daily post on r/pics something related to israel almost daily and nothing else? Its intentional

u/drinkwithme07 1d ago
Israel has done plenty to sway public opinion. It's the results of their own actions.
-4
u/TheResuscitologist 1d ago
Im not going to get into a debate over who or who isnt responsible for what or why. Its a complex geopolitical problem no one has been able to solve for thousands of years. A medical Reddit comment section surely isnt going to do it.
That doesnt change what I said. Theres a concerted effort all across reddit by non related posters to highlight certain aspects and minimize others.

UN, international agencies and the Palestinian Red Crescent strongly dispute this, stating they were kept in the dark for eight days until discovering the mass grave themselves.
Bold of you to saying "nothing was hidden", Israeli forces literally used bulldozers to completely crush and bury the clearly marked ambulances, a fire truck, and a UN vehicle under the sand.
-6
u/goodknightffs 1d ago edited 1d ago
Do you have a source to them disputing this?
Edit: so i ask for a source and i get down voted?
I even posted my source and I'm still getting down voted lol i didn't even support Israel all i said is we should be sticking to the facts instead of making shit up..

Fine I'll post my source here as well

I verified the source, you weren’t lying. I’m going to assume you still class these atrocities as war crimes:
15 paramedics killed, burying them and claiming the clearly labelled car, were armed militants. Then when footage was released israel switched up and admitted it was paramedics.

u/goodknightffs 1d ago
First of all i appreciate the candor it's sadly rare these days..
Secondly if you read my original comment again you will surely be able to answer what you're asking me..
All i really care about is the truth.. In the end of the day if someone is doing bad shit we need to call them out for the bad shit they are doing.
We can't make new shit up or take something terrible and make it sound worse. The only thing that does is muddies the water.
I hope you understand my point.. It's important we don't fall into echo chambers whichever side of the political spectrum we fall on (and if it wasn't clear yes i consider this a war crime which is also why i said the senior officer {a reservist} should have been sent to prison and not let out of the army)

I agree. That commander should be tried for war crimes and executed. And anyone up the chain who gave the order.

u/MeatSlammur BSN 1d ago
Paramedics or Hamas driving ambulances? I dislike Israel and Hamas but Hamas has been caught pretending to be civilians and aid workers many times. The only ones telling of this information….are Hamas literally.
71
u/InYosefWeTrust 1d ago
There was another video several days ago where they bombed a spot, then waited for ambulances to arrive, then bombed it again.
56
u/Goldenmentis 1d ago
Yes, that was in Lebanon. The Israeli military carried out multiple double tap airstrikes by first bombing a location, waiting for emergency workers and ambulances to arrive at the scene to rescue survivors, and then launching a second strike on the exact same spot. This tactic directly targeted and killed paramedics, civil defense volunteers, and bystanders who were actively trying to pull victims from the rubble.

Which is partly why a feel a sorta way about that other thread of the lebanon resident asking about wilderness medicine.

Mental gymnasts for being cautious about believing a video and story released by a terrorist organization? Let’s not pretend Hamas has never lied. Neither side in this battle is trustworthy.
18
u/crakemonk 1d ago
Have you ever wondered why Hamas exists in the first place? Maybe learn some actual history and get your head out of your ass. Although, that might be hard when you’ve been so brainwashed that you think what happened in this video is okay, for any reason… or any of the multitude of videos where IDF keeps doing this shit.
-7
u/MeatSlammur BSN 1d ago
I do know history. Palestinian leaders should have taken the deal at Camp David.

u/Ohmynamageoff 1d ago
Bro please shut the fuck up. Were the little girls bombed by the US also Hamas insiders wearing school dresses. Were the hospital nurses and Doctors killed also Hamas wearing scrubs? Is the BBC and Amnesty international also Hamas wearing journalist badges?

If they were guerrilla fighters posing as medics, why would anyone cover that up?
4
u/MeatSlammur BSN 1d ago
What?
13
u/VXMerlinXV RN 1d ago
You said the only people talking about the killings were Hamas. If the medics killed were combatants posing as medical personnel, like you said, why wouldn’t that be front page news?
-3
u/MeatSlammur BSN 1d ago
It’s been proven many times before they’ve done this… it’s never going to be front page news because Israel being the bad guys makes better headlines. The issue is they’re both the bad guys. The Palestinians are suffering from inside and out. They need their government back
13
1
u/Ok_Firefighter1574 5h ago
So why wasn’t it proven this one was? If it’s happened in the past and you are claiming that’s what this is, why hasn’t Israel said anything to that effect?
