Problems with KaiOS Barbie Flip Phones Camera not working?

I purchased my KaiOS Barbie flip phone in December 2025, and while the camera functioned correctly initially, I have been experiencing intermittent hardware issues over the past two-ish months.

Specifically, the camera and flashlight functionality is inconsistent. Even when the battery is fully charged the camera occasionally displays only a black screen, The flashlight fails to activate during these periods of camera failure.
 

Sometimes when it is working I'll close the lid, re-open it and then the camera will stop working.

I've tried restarting it, and factory resetting it and it still wont work.

Given that these problems persisted despite the device being fully charged, do you have any advice or troubleshooting steps to resolve this?
