Type 2 Farixga to Monjuaro

Has anybody dropped the farixga to take monjuaro full time?

I was originally on farixga and 60 units of long acting and short acting as needed but I stopped the farixga due to being afraid of lows and having to go to the bathroom a lot on it.

It also didn’t really bring my sugars down below 200-220 and I still spiked.

Compared to the farixga my sugars are down 60-80 points already daily. After 2 days of shots and 60 of triseba.

I’ve had a lot of progress with mounjaro. Glad it works for you too

I switched from Jardiance to Ozempic because of urinary issues post quadruple bypass surgery last August. The risk of a UTI while using catheters was too great. 2 months ago I switched to Mounjaro. Ozempic gave me 1-2 days of diarrhea mid week for a month before it went away. But it wasn’t keeping my sugar down enough. Mounjaro is doing a better job. The side effect is constipation. I’m now taking 4 Metamucil capsules a day. During first two weeks I was also taking Colace stool softeners. In hindsight I think Miralax might have been a better choice. But everything is good now.

Miralax a better choice. Why?

MiraLAX absorbs water and makes stools softer in a different way than regular Colace. I watched a video of a doctor explaining why but I don’t remember the details

I had to go off Mounjaro last week because I had surgery under anesthesia. Just went back on it. Had to take a little more insulin and watch the carbs more. But I got through it. Rough year for me.
