Okay, who is dmg and why is everyone going crazy over his tweets? /gen

/uj DMG is one of the Destiny community managers who's had the displeasure of having to interact with the vocal minority of the destiny community. I say displeasure because time and time again he has been harassed for decisions that were not his to make. The reason people are going nuts over the tweets he's been sending out is because of a line of coincidences inciting a potential destiny announcement in the near future that, while ive indulged in myself, will likely lead to nothing

Now there is some times where it has been aggravating to hear from him I admit. The "still jamming" tweet felt a bit tonedeaf at the time it came out imo, but honestly it's hard to be mad at him because at the end of the day he got handed the short end of the stick.

Edit: if i made any mistakes in my chronology or if I sound like a shill, uhhh idk suck my dick.

/uj ohhh okay. Being a community manager for a game like destiny must suck.

/rj oooh sucking dick?

being a CM for any game probably sucks. even the warframe community which is generally pretty chill treated the devs like shit until fairly recently. I remember scott made an offhanded joke about nerfing something and people were genuinely calling for his head on a pike. he wasn't even a CM he was just on devstreams

If you're incompetent at your job, how many chances do you deserve really?

Yeah it was only an incredibly successful game for a decade, they should have cemented their staying power by giving us gambling like valve did.

Imagine getting le dinklebot skin ('member that??) For a week on a .1% drop chance

A slow and expensive decline over a decade you mean. It is after all ending development now.

You know, the "destiny has been dying it's entire existence" is perhaps my favorite type of destiny player to jerk about so it truly is a pleasure to see one in the wild.

Yes, the game is ending development after 12 years and completing their MSQ and the developers have released their next big game. This is reasonable to me because I do not have a parasocial relationship with the creators.

“the game will definitely end” was this ever even said? Last live update? Yes. No new expansions or sequel in the works right now? Yes. No more Destiny ever, freak the fuck out right now? No. I do not get the overly dramatic panic these people have. Remember when games would be released and we wouldn’t actually know if there’d be a sequel, dlc, or even an update until that stuff was already well into production?
