Question Question (SPOILER) Spoiler

Let's say when Misa first saw L and she could see his name and lifespan. Did the lifespan she saw say when he would be killed by Rem, or is it the lifespan he would've lived to if he would've lived long enough to die of natural causes?

Only the original lifespan is displayed

Shinigamis can cut original lifespans. So that wouldn't have been his actual death date.

It’s not up until Rem kills him. It would be the lifespan up until the natural end of his life, but that doesn’t always mean natural causes. For example, Misa’s life was supposed to end when her stalker tried to kill her.

you know what im saying. i meant if he hadnt been killed by the shinigami or anyone else who wrote his name in the death note. i know u can die in other ways besides natural causes. lol
