Stock fitting issue

I got a new to me DR-200 which was supposed to be NOS. When it arrived, the stock didn't fit the rifle, having a near 3/16" gap between the pistol grip and the receiver. I removed the thumb-hole stock and found the pistol grip screw was toe-nailed in. When I tried pushing the stock to the receiver (photos 1-2) and the screw hole for the pistol grip didn't even line up with the stock. Is this normal for Daewoo fit and finish? I tried playing with tension on each screw but just ended up with a smaller gap along the entire thumb-hole stock and lower receiver.

I just removed my stock and one of the screws looked like it was set into the stock without a starter hole - sheared off and now if I want to put the stock back on, I'll have to drill out the screw shaft

Is that just how Daewoo built these?
