People are talking about fancy things you can do with this when it’s black lotus. You need to understand that lions eye diamond is not a balanced card and that’s black lotus but you discard your whole hand. This is not enough of a restriction.
It's not quite black lotus , you only get +2 mana on the first time turn and +1 on the second, and then you tap it to pay for itself on turn 3. After that it's all downside. It's still 100% busted though.
