Advice/Questions ICSA Conference

Has anyone here been to the ICSA conferences before and would they recommend?

I'm 6 years out of a cult, but only began to understand it as such and the spiritual abuse I underwent in the last 12 months. I am keen to continue learning from books and podcasts, and wonder whether attending a conference like this might be a valuable experience.

Any thoughts appreciated.

Yes --

I presented at the 2024 conference so I got to attend some sessions. There's a lot of different presenters and topics.

This is the agenda/program for 2025: https://infosecte.org/wp-content/uploads/programme-final-format-grille_web-1.pdf

I would describe it as a series of expert talks, either individual or panel and individuals and panelists vary by year to year.

Thanks for your reply and for posting last years programme as an example agenda. Very helpful.

The vibe tends to favor advocates and therapists I’d say, was a member for a never of years. That said we met a number of awesome people.  The Association does really value victims and survivors and people will want to hear your story, some of the academicians may wish to question you or interview you for various studies.
