Meta Monthly Meta-Thread for June, 2026
This thread is for discussion about the culture and rules of this subreddit, both for regular users and mods. Praise and complain to your heart's content, but try to keep complaints productive-ish; diatribes with no apparent point or solution may be better suited for the weekly rant thread.
You can still make 'meta' posts in existing threads where it's relevant to the topic, in dedicated threads if you feel strongly enough about something, or by PMing the mods. This is just a space for focusing on these issues where they can be discussed in the open.
This thread is posted on the first day of every month. Previous Monthly Meta-Threads can be found here.

Been lurking here for years and notice same questions getting asked every week - maybe we need better pinned resources or something because new grads keep asking about salary negotiations like it's first time anyone ever thought about it

Mods do a great job with filtering out the spam but I think we need automod revamped a bit to help with the response time. Maybe anything that includes a link outside of reddit have go into the mod queue before publishing?
It's unfortunate there is so much spam exploiting vulnerable unemployed people. Really I think Reddit admins need to improve their spam detection but it is what it is.
