Googler invite to apply

I have got an invite (a link)to apply from someone at Google who renews it every time it expired. Haven’t got an interview since i started to apply. Is it normal? Can anyone relate with this experience? Any suggestion on how to get an interview in my case?? Thank you very much!

Referral isn't guaranteed interview. You have to pass two rounds of recruiters, you can in fact be denied before getting an actual recruiter screen. They're painfully slow though so don't get married to this
