What’s your affiliation? Not all credit unions allow anyone to join. Navy Federal for example is great but they are only for military and military affiliated.

I just became a member with Navy Federal about 2 weeks ago. I have a family member who was in the military. Are they supposed to verify somehow? because they never did for me

Where in Oregon do you live? Southern Oregon would be Rogue Crédit Union. Eugene area would be OCCU…Northern Oregon would be On Point….Central Oregon I am not sure…Eastern Oregon also Rogue Credit Union or ICCU..12 year C/U employee so I have a good idea for you…good luck!

If I was in your shoes, I would go NFCU, SECU, PenFed, or a local credit union. For me that would be Skyla.

PS if you can get into NFCU do it! if not Penfed.

Have you looked into Veridian Credit Union? It’s a credit union in the midwest but you are eligible to become a member from out of state with a donation to Habitat for Humanity! Not sure about the no credit thing but it’s a credit union to consider regardless.

It depends on what you are looking for. What are the local credit unions in your area? Do you value having a lot of branches in your area? Are you comfortable with the idea of banking solely on apps and tellerphone?

go into a local branch and talk to them. Look at their offerings and rates and see if they have what you need. that's the cu to join.

Alliant credit union

I lost all respect for them after they hired Suze Orman as a spokesperson, they also severely cut their credit card reward program.

USAA maybe?

That's not a credit union.
