FLUFF Don't make "Tank!" your ringtone

Back in 2012 my ringtone was Tank!

Now every time I hear it on my playlist I panic because I think I'm getting a phone call.

Be smarter than me.

You could always substitute the intro to Johnny Quest. Has the same vibe and then you get to keep Tank! for regular listening.

Yeap. I almost ruined Blister in the Sun from Violent Femmes using the intro as a ringtone.

Also Rescue from Echo & the Bunnymen.

Stupid mistakes I don't make anymore.

Tank! is my wakeup and general alarm because 1) it's the only song I trust not to hate no matter what and 2) it's got that slow build up from quiet to BAM! big brass band in your face, which is nice for an alarm, gives me time to turn it off before it gets loud but also does get loud enough if needed.

it actually is my ringtone lol. but i don't get enough calls that i think it's my ringtone when i hear the song. in fact i often have my phone on mute.

The song makes me get up and want to run through a wall. I play it when I’m trying to get something done. If I hear it as a ringtone I’m going to get HYPED.

Yeah I learned the hard way years ago that using music you like for your morning alarm ends up associating the song with negative feelings (waking up early to go to work)

I did this with the Relic Hunter theme song. When I'm listening to my Adventure playlist and it comes on, I think I'm getting a text. My phone call ringtone is the sound of the Tookie-Tookie bird from George Of The Jungle, LOL. My alarm is Horse Stealing Song, so whenever I listen to The Heartbeat Of Mother Earth: Native American Songs And Stories I think about my alarm.
