Garden Tour Got Tired of Buying A Bunch of Annuals

I have a random assortment of pots. We tried growing herbs/vegetables years ago when we lived in an apartment, it was not very fruitful and too much work for us at the time with our lives. We moved into a house a few years back and I use to fill all these pots with annual flowers. This year I was tired of doing all that so I randomly decided to give some herbs and veggies a shot. Also I need to find a container for the chives I got from my parents. Is it perfect? Absolutely not but I'm already seeing growth progress a few weeks later! Also a raccoon used my arugula box as a step stool and knocked it over last night.

I’m growing Bok Choy too. They grow pretty fast and big.

I know I was surprised they already look like little bok choy!

Just a heads up you"ll want to plant those snacking peppers in their own pots so they dont choke each other out when they get bigger. Congrats on all the new plant babies!!!!!!

Sweet basil, sage, chives, red and green lettuces, arugula, oregano, rosemary, thyme, green onion, bok choy, "little fingers" eggplant, and sweet snacking peppers.

Good news on chives and oregano, you'll never need to plant or buy them again! I have a container chives going strong on its 7th year

I am growing oregano and chives (in pots) for the first time this year. Any times to improve their longevity? I would love to never have to buy them again.

I'm not sure you can kill them. I have chives and oregano that I completely neglected over the winter (never watered, they were snowed on several times, out in frozen weather) and they came back in the spring. I water them occasionally in the summer, but they're so resilient.

6b my oregano does come back but very slowly - I started some from seed and planted it next to it so I can get some earlier in the year too

Its very satisfying to put fresh herbs in my food. Today i used some rosemary yesterday italian parsley. I love the smell of the herbs i grow. Small things make me happy. Your garden is thriving. Enjoy!

I noticed with radishes and arugula, that home grown is a helluva lot spicier than store bought!
