Question rooster behavior?

one of our roosters (one of two, not the head honcho) will constantly squeeze himself in between a table and a crate in a very small space. he will make ungodly noises until his hens come and gather around to check on him. sometimes he scratches the crate and pecks at it but other times he just lays there, loafed up. anyone able to explain this behavior? is he just acting weird to get the hens’ attention? 🤣

Why is he so excited? Doodster needs to learn some chill.

Last time i saw a rooster brag this big he was trying to convince the girls the pine shavings on the ground were food so he could mount them while they were learning he lies

My guy did something similar - I was so proud of the ladies for not trying to eat pelleted bedding when I first introduced it to the coop, and the roo runs up, grabs one and tries to tidbit it and they all run over and start trying to eat it, meanwhile he tries hopping on the extremely adamant “no” hen like he’s finally cracked the code to her loving approval. She immediately flung him off… and continued trying to eat the bedding.

I cant tell if Roos are just that dumb or they want the hens to underestimate them
