never feel guilty about enjoying a video game

birthright is a standin for fates as a whole

some things to hate, to be sure. but on the whole deserves better than its reputation

Most of the criticism is about the plot which, I mean, it's a melodrama with anime characters. I think it accomplished exactly what it set out to do.

I love the class system in fates. I just wish inheritance wasn't so nerfed

Yeah. It's a good game, but I find it a downgrade from 64 and Sunshine. I've always been more partial to the games that have more freedom to explore.

A guilty pleasure isn't something you're actually feeling guilty about. It's basically your way of saying "Yeah this game is trash but I enjoy it anyway", which is a perfectly fair opinion to have. Something that's usually not at all what you'd enjoy and you can't place your finger on why this is an exception for you.

Yeah I understand what it means, I just don't really engage with games like that. If I enjoy a game that is otherwise hated it is simply the masses that are wrong

I don't even think it's about mass opinions. There are games I've played where I concluded all on my own that they're awful, but that I still had fun anyway.
