Turizam Prvi put idemo u Drač (Albanija) – savjeti za smještaj, plaže, cijene i šta obići?

Pozdrav svima,

Takođe me zanima:

- Koje su najbolje i najčistije plaže u okolini?

- Koliko koštaju ležaljke i suncobrani?

Judicial system in Bosnia?

What is the reputation of judges in Bosnia? Here in Spain people criticize them because they are very conservative and because they take a long time to issue their court rulings. But the last problem is more guilty the system than the judges themselves.

So, my question is:

  1. Do judges in Bosnia have a good reputation?

  2. How quickly does your judicial system operate?

Questions about medical education in Banja Luka for international students

Hello everyone, I recently came across this subreddit and wanted to ask how is the education for medicine in Banja Luka, the English version. If anyone is studying there, I would really appreciate some insight.

I wanted to also see which ones do you guys think is best between Sarajevo, Banja Luka, Foca or/and any others.

I’ve seen reviews on the internet a lot and did a bunch of research but it’s pretty hard to get concrete info because of how little information there is.

Thanks guys 🙏

Sutjeska National Park

Hi everyone!

I will be visiting Bosnia and Herzegovina in July by car and tent with my girlfriend, leaving from Italy.

We are going to do a road trip with multiple stops to visit the natural beauty of the area.

We would also like to visit Sutjeska National Park and do some hiking, but we are struggling to find information.

Any recommendations for a campsite and a hiking trail? We only seem to find very expensive tour operators (with guides starting from 60 euros).

Also, we don't have a 4x4 vehicle, just a simple hatchback/city car. Is there a paved road that we can take?

Thanks to anyone who replies!

Tips for a week in Sarajevo and Mostar? Cash, taxis and apps

Hello!!

There are 3 of us, and we're going to spend a week in Sarajevo and Mostar.

We have a few questions:

  1. How easy is it to use credit cards and euros?
  2. What taxi app should we use?
  3. Are there any apps or recommendations we should keep in mind before coming?

Thank you!

Has anyone from the bosnian diaspora moved back to Bosnia? What are the pros and cons?

I was born and raised in Italy, but the older I get, the more out of place I feel here.

Whenever I go back to Bosnia, I feel different. Not just mentally, but physically too. It sounds strange, but I genuinely feel like I can breathe better there. There is something about the country that keeps pulling me back no matter how much time passes.

Honestly, one of the most difficult things is living with this constant nostalgia for Bosnia. It’s heartbreaking at times. I know I was born and raised in Italy, but a part of me always feels like it’s somewhere else. No matter what I’m doing, Bosnia is never far from my thoughts. Sometimes it feels like homesickness for a place that should be familiar, yet isn’t fully mine. I often wonder whether I’m idealizing Bosnia because I only experience it as a visitor, or whether this feeling is telling me something important about where I truly belong.

At the same time, I’m not naïve about the challenges. Apart from the political nationalist issues, the biggest one, in my opinion, is living on a Bosnian salary. Every time I visit, I notice that prices don’t seem proportional to the average standard of living. Many things cost almost the same as they do in Italy, and if they’re already expensive in Italy, they’re even harder to afford in Bosnia on a local income.

Still, there is something there that attracts me more than anywhere else. The people feel different to me. They’re more genuine, more willing to help, even when they don’t know you. Of course, I also know that some locals can be skeptical of the diaspora. But being born abroad wasn’t exactly our choice, was it?

I’d really like to hear from people who actually made the move. Was it worth it? Do you regret it? What were the biggest surprises after relocating? Was Bosnia the place you imagined it would be once you were no longer there as a visitor?

For context, I’m a 27 years old woman and I would be moving alone. Unfortunately, I don’t have family connections or a support network in Bosnia, so I wouldn’t really have anyone to rely on when starting out. That’s probably what scares me the most.

At the same time, I keep wondering whether it’s still possible to build a life there from scratch, find my place, and create a future for myself. I don’t expect everything to be easy, and I’m not looking for a perfect country. I just want to know whether anyone else felt this same pull toward Bosnia, took the leap, and found that it was worth it.

I’d love to hear your honest experiences: the good, the bad, and everything in between. Thank you in advance!

Zenica General Medicine Program: HELP

Hi everyone, I'm a Medicine and Surgery student, I'm writing here because I'm a bit frustrated. I would like to attend an Erasmus period in Zenica Faculty of Medicine, since I found some similarities with the Italian Medicine Program, ECTS speaking. I'm ready to deal with every good or bad aspect of Zenica, my focus is to take a lot of exams there (I need to make up some sujects back) ad to learn something new about a different culture, cook and habits. I was able to see the general CV but NOT the extensive program using this link (https://medf.unze.ba/en/curriculum-of-the-department-of-general-medicine/). Is there anyone attending the fifth or fourth year in Zenica that have the patience to help me? Thx to everyone reading this.

Zbog reakcija prijatelja sam postao sumnjicav i skeptican ( a malo me postalo i strah) oko onoga sta se nalazi u toj sobi.
Da li možete dati neki savjet, šta bih trebao da uradim?
