Fiction Looking for some action/high-intensity books
Hello everyone! I’m looking for some suggestions on books with some “action”. Basically something like fight scenes, high intense suspense etc. Reason is that I’m actually curious how authors tackle scenes like battles, brawls, shootings etc with words and pacing. Fantasy or real life doesn’t really matter as long as it’s fiction. I’ve tried some books that seem to have an action filled storyline but have yet to find something that gives that small rush.
Doesn’t even need to be “serious” brawls btw. Can be fun fights as well (like a spar or even friendly roughhousing), just want a story with some high pacing and great combat writing.

It's suggested a lot but Dark Matter by Blake Crouch. I couldn't put it down.

All The Sinners Bleed by SA Cosby (and his other books) have fast paced combat, chase scenes, etc

City of Thieves. And I haven’t read the Jack Reacher books, but my dad loves them and I’m pretty sure they have lots of action.

Power of the Dog, Don Winslow. Intense is a beginning word to describe it.
