Blue Bloods and Boston Blue
I finished watching the last episode of Blue Bloods yesterday, and Badillo’s death broke my heart. But I was so happy to see the whole Reagan family together again — especially Nicky, I really missed her.
Then I started watching Blue bloods Boston Blue from the beginning today, and in the first episode I was thrilled to see Danny and Baez finally together. But by the second episode I started losing interest — it felt like one of those AI-generated TikTok dramas.

Blue Bloods Season 9 Episode 20 Review: Strange Bedfellows
Hi Jack,
I also find the Danny Reagan character repeatedly ignoring protocol irritating and very unrealistic. It seems like almost every time he does it the consequence is detrimental to getting the criminal charged. I don’t understand why the writers of this character continue to give him this flaw over and over again. It’s like they don’t think Danny can learn from his past mistakes, but the majority of intelligent people do. I also think that it is a little insulting to the viewers. I know Blue Bloods is a fictional show, but I’ve read that the creators want it to reflect the real NYPD or at least be close to it. When they continue to write Danny (who is a Detective First Grade) as a reckless cop who doesn’t understand the importance of protocol, they are doing the show a disservice.

Bingeing the re-runs, and it’s hard to believe the old grandpa was once commissioner.
If he’s supposed to be the “charming old coot” character, they missed the charming part. He sounds like an old, hateful jerk who would shoot every “perp” dead if he could. I feel bad for the actor, he gets two lines per episode and it’s always ignorant twattery…

Do American people really use the “cop “ word that often ?
I clearly remember my English teacher told us that you should never say “cop” (at least never let a police officer hear this word) when I was in elementary school. But police officers in this drama, they use this word pretty much.
