Just for Fun / Meme Is it weird that I still front carry my ginormous 10 month old? 😅😂

She’s 23lbs and pretty big for her age, people often comment on how huge she is. Is it odd that I still carry her in the front? Haven’t tried back carrying yet. This is much more comfortable for me than to just carry her on my arm

Does this seem like it fits well 😂

In all seriousness, she has become mega needy since the baby arrived and wearing her for a little while of the day keeps her happy 😊

(I know the ring is slightly low, just breaking it in abit so it will get easier to pull through the rings) it’s hot pink on the other side with white dinos and glitter and white with pink dinos on the other with glitter too 😍 I have it reversed as i prefer a right shoulder carry currently

This is how my grandma raised me and now my mother is helping me raise my daughter in her own podaegi! Later on will probably be used as a back carry once LO is big enough.

Just for Fun / Meme How many and what kind of carriers do you have?

I thought I was going to be a stroller mom but my Velcro baby HATES the stroller so off to the rabbit hole of this sub I went. I was gifted two baby bjorn minis and bought a random bebemour carrier but after being told from this sub that those weren’t the best options, I went did a bunch of research and went crazy and bought a ton of carriers within a month or two. Some for different utility and some simply to match different outfits lol. I love every single one that I’ve bought.

- artipoppe water ring sling (I use this in the shower with baby instead of a baby bath )

- Sakura bloom scout simple silk (best hot weather carrier)

- Sakura bloom scout in muir (softest , comfiest ssc and so beautiful )

- Sakura bloom linen eyelet ombuhimo (currently my most used one right when baby started sitting independent as she loves it the most )

- oscha bairn (beautiful but prefer my sakura bloom scout for comfort )

- oscha ring sling (best for up and down hip carries and for nursing in public )

- ergo omni 360 in grey mesh (so supportive and comfy for baby but kinda ugly and bulky so I just toss in the car for errands but I’d recommend for big babies bc it really is SO supportive)

- happy baby OG (I use and like but it’s my husband’s primary carrier)

.. I probably have enough but my husband is looking for a more masculine looking onbuhimo lol and we will need a true hiking carrier for our trip to glacier falls this summer

Just for Fun / Meme If its got bad photos, it's probably not going to be a great carrier either

I just love finding random horrifying bad photoshop jobs of Amazon's knock off alphabet soup carriers. I get that the price is low but keep in mind, majority of these white label carriers with bad photoshop are bad quality and may not even be properly safety tested.

Just for Fun / Meme “Did daddy wear me in one of those when I was little?”

Hubs and I were out at the store, and he was wearing our 10 week old. (H&P ring sling!) We were waiting in line at checkout, and a little girl was waiting behind us with her mom. The girl was maybe 8 or 9? I noticed her watching my husband and the baby intently. And then she turns to her mom and asks “Did daddy have one of those and wear me like that when I was a little baby?” The mom goes “umm… well we had something similar, but, mommy wore it with you.” Based on her tone she sounded like she was trying to not disappoint her. 🥺 Hubs gets lots of confused looks and surprised comments when he’s wearing her. I’m so proud that he loves wearing our little girl- he’s better at the ring sling than I am, even! Sending appreciation for all the active dads who aren’t afraid to do stuff like wear the sling when raising their lil ones ❤️ So glad it’s starting to get normalized.

I wear my baby regularly, and we have such a sweet bond. I noticed when my husband started wearing him more frequently, my 12mo son is now reaching for dada as much as mama. It’s so sweet!

I think I narrowed it down to these two!

I love an X back, waterfall style, and I am planning to hopefully back carry. For fun, I’d love to hear what you’d go for and why?!

I also haven’t heard as much about Gojiberry so I’m interested to hear what people know.

Thank you!

Just for Fun / Meme Your carrier hot takes!

Thought it would be fun to share hot takes. Keep in mind this is just for fun, I know pretty much every carrier has fans! It’s really subjective.

OK to start with…. Just got the Ergo original and an infant insert for my husband to use. He was complaining it isn’t easy so I tried it out. Omg! I hate the infant insert! I can’t get the little seat to stay down, it just keeps flipping up in to itself while I try maneuvering the baby in to it. It has little tabs to hold 4 sides of it down but not the bottom?? Think I’m just gonna wait for her to age in to it without the insert.

Just for Fun / Meme Just learned new way to wrap

Post image

And it’s so pretty!!!! My back hurts so much from using a carrier this past week for traveling, so I am back to the gold old woven wrap. I love this one as it’s camel hair/cotton blend and. It’s sooo comfortable. The only downside is that is my -2 so I am trying to find ways to continue wrapping with it even as baby grows older

Just for Fun / Meme Most beautiful carrier

What is the most beautiful carrier you’ve seen? ☺️ Wraps also welcome!

I’m looking at buying a new baby carrier, and currently casting a wide net in my search. I’ve stuck to quite plain colors previously, so my partner could use them as well, but this time I’m thinking I’ll just buy something gorgeous that I like!

Just for Fun / Meme Tell me your greatest accomplishment while babywearing

My (nearly) 10 month old is going through an extremely clingy phase and every time I put her down she sobs. So this morning I made banana bread while backwearing her. I did have to put a t-shirt over my tank top halfway through because she discovered the mole on my back and kept picking at it. And her teether did end up in the batter at one point. But I did it and I feel very accomplished!

What are you proud of achieving while babywearing?

r/babywearing Nov 22 '25

Just for Fun / Meme First time wearer, I feel like she's not doing it properly at all! She won't listen to me. Please help her, for her infant's sake.
