Just for Fun / Meme LennyLamb Light vs Gojiberry?!

I think I narrowed it down to these two!

I love an X back, waterfall style, and I am planning to hopefully back carry. For fun, I’d love to hear what you’d go for and why?!

I also haven’t heard as much about Gojiberry so I’m interested to hear what people know.

Thank you!

I’d go for Lenny hands down, Goji is a cheaper social media brand and IMO their removable covers look like a huge PITA to deal with.

I had no idea about it being a social media brand!! Thanks for letting me know.

Now what if I threw in the Oscha Bairn??

That’s the one we have. I LOVE IT and I’m still using it every day 14 months in. Everyone else I know hates it lmao so if you can find a way to try it out before buying it would be much better.

The Lenny will have more longevity, but Oscha makes really nice carriers too (I'm biased and prefer Oscha's patterns over Lenny's). How old/big is your baby?

15 pounds, 5 months

I have the gojiberry and the covers are not difficult at all.

I'm glad you don't find it faffy, but compared to other carriers that don't have that component it's still extra work.

I guess… or if you didn’t want to change covers, you don’t have to

How are you liking it?

I use my gojiberry multiple times every day and find it comfortable (baby is just 5 months old). My baby sleeps in it often when I’m on walks with him. My SIL used it as a back carry at the zoo for her 18 month old and was comfy for a few hours!

When he pooped all over one cover, it was nice to just switch covers and wash the one instead of the whole carrier (since the poop didn’t make it to the base). The two covers came free when I ordered it, so not really any extra expense there. I have no experience with lennylamb, though.

Thank you for your Gojiberry perspective!!

I haven't heard of gojiberry but looking at the picture it doesn't look nearly as adjustable as the Lennylight. I think for a waterfall carrier they're hard to beat.

Thank you! What about the Oscha Bairn??

I personally really dislike waterfall carriers, so the bairn suits me much better. I really like it. People say the Lennylight is more supportive for a larger baby and it probably is but I just can't stand the thick rigid waistband. Other people love that about it. Can you test them both from a sling library or try before you buy retailer?

ETA the Lennylight was the best fit for my newborn. She was very comfy in it. I just wasn't!

No question, LennyLamb. Gojiberry is an influencer carrier. Also the whole changeable cover thing seems like a useless gimmick since the covers are $50 a pop and look, imo, very removable/temporary when they're on there.

Ha ha OK so it’s not just me. I also thought it looked a bit funny. Now what if I threw in the Oscha Bairn??

I would still get a LennyLamb. The Bairn is less padded and apron style, waterfall provides more structure and padding and will be comfy for longer.

So so helpful! Thank you.

I’ll always vote for a lennylight!! I tried several carriers before trying my first Lenny and wow what a world of difference. It’s the only ssc I truly will ever need!

!! Are you in the US? I’m wondering how to go about purchasing…

If you want to avoid a tariff surprise charge you can order through Little Zen One, they're the main retailer over here and they bundle in the tariffs. You're still ultimately paying an inflated price because the tariffs, but you know the total going into it instead of being billed months later by FedEx/UPS.

So good to know! I had read mixed things on here. What about woven baby?

1

u/ispyamy 11d ago

I am! I bought mine secondhand on a Facebook Babywearing BST group. You can also purchase Lennylamb through a US retailer. I think her shop is called Woven Baby

Are you in Canada? Little zen one has carriers, I think lennylamb is on there. They ship to Canada and the US

The barin and lenny lamb are both part of the US try before you buy program.

u/sseven-costanza 11d ago

I totally misread their comment earlier omg. But yes! TBYB is great!

1

u/Chalksuey 10d ago

Sorry for being a bit dense lol. Could someone explain the little zen one try before you buy program please?

1

u/sseven-costanza 10d ago

Go to the TBYB tab and hit “how it works”. It’ll prompt you to fill out a google form and join the Facebook page. You’ll get an announcement on Facebook when it’s your turn and the person who has it will ship it to you. When you’re done with it, you’ll ship it to the next person :)

u/Chalksuey 10d ago

Ugh! Unfortunately, I don’t have Facebook. :(

1

u/sseven-costanza 10d ago

Ahh I’m sorry. I don’t know of another way to participate. I only keep fb for this stuff and for marketplace lol.

The new Lenny lamb upgrade pro so much more comfortable

1

u/Chalksuey 10d ago

Interesting! How so?

1

u/Fair-Neighborhood-68 10d ago

The waistband is bigger more cushion, added lumbar support, more width panel material as they get older, height adjustments same as the light but it’s longer, hood, you can change the adjustments on your shoulder straps to fit your size so you don’t have any loose straps. If you want more cushion/support and fit get the upgrade pro, get the light if you want it simple.

1

u/Chalksuey 10d ago

This is so thorough! Thank you so much. This one bit “adjustments on your shoulder straps..so you don’t have any loose straps” is that not what the light has?

1

u/Fair-Neighborhood-68 10d ago

No this was added on the upgrade pro the shoulder straps adjustment is only on the upgrade pro its great because you can customize to fit different people to get a snug fit

This vid is what I watched on the comparison
