Fit Check Fit check tall and chunky 9 week old, ergobaby omni - strap gap?

Hi, baby has pretty much grown out of the ergobaby embrace and dolly wrap, so moving into the omni. This is my second baby I am using this carrier with, and feel pretty confident in getting a good, safe fit, but trying to find ways to improve it. I don’t *love* the omni since it’s bulky and I find it harder to get a good fit with the H back, but it’s what I have. My main issue is with the straps gaping/not sitting flush on the shoulder. Baby keeps rubbing his face on it. Any tips on fixing that? Or is it just how the omni is?

Baby’s bum should not be sagging over the waistband.

You’ll likely need to lower the waistband. The panel should reach closer to baby’s nape at this point.

And when you tighten the shoulder straps, don’t forget to lift baby’s bum. The straps should sit better at this point.

Though, it’s totally normal for babies to lean their head toward the strap. You’ll just want to reposition their head once they sleep so that their airways are clear.
